Start-up = No Life = insanely FUN

I started being part of a team working on web / mobile product last week of December, 2011. Thus, I can hardly find time to update this blog because I have to be 'living' the so-called 'start-up life.'

I started working with only one person in the team, the hacker chick, Odina whose secret to not sleeping is Cobra Energy drink. (Sorry, too lazy to rotate this.)

Then, it grew because Odina needs a partner so she can get some sleep. She might overdosed with Cobra Energy drink just to finish the whole thing.

Fan Pic with Eddie Lee of Buyanihan

I, together with a few friends, attended the Buyanihan launching last January 10, 2011 at Crown Regency. It was a brief and intimate gathering, which I like.

I had talk about Buyanihan here and here. So I'll just present to you my fan pic with Eddie Lee, the CIO / founder of Buyanihan.

Mockaroo Alpha -- Turn your mockups into websites in minutes

Mockaroo is a web-based application for turning your static mock-ups of your web application or site to a dynamic one, giving it a look and feel of the finished product minus the 10,000 hours of coding.

"Mockaroo adds links to your mockup layouts (napkin doodles allowed) to let you create a prototype in minutes. Instead of coding your prototype in HTML and CSS, Mockaroo is the more effortless way of getting your idea in prototype mode. Actually, it's only a three-step process:
  1. Upload your mockup images ("Home page", "Dashboard", etc.)
  2. Add links to navigate between mockups
  3. Invite your collaborators to view and critique your site"
          via mockaroo.com

You can check a demo of Mockaroo in action here.

Mockaroo is a product of Percolait, a UI design and prototype development for startups shop, founded by a Filipino rails developer and designer Bobby Santiago.

aloo.ph -- the First Location-Based Social Site in Philippines is Back

Something was missing me ha. Apps now miss me.

Seriously, aloo.ph is now back, ready to serve your location check-ins. And, also local business establishments or international businesses who wants to make an online visibility more targeted at the Filipino netizens, aloo.ph will be a good booster. Just a quick note, the top 3 most checked-in location categories are:

* Restaurants with 458 check-ins which make it way on the top. This shows how much we Pinoys love to eat. =)
* Schools with 92 check-ins
* Coffee Shops with 70 check-ins

The least number of check-ins at 6 but totally surprises me that people do bother to check-in this place -- Smoking Area.

This new year, let's make our first check-in on aloo.ph. One feature they added on this 're-opening' is 'I'll be here' which can let you check-in advance, a good way to inform your friends in advance where you heading.

And, it also comes with a mobile web version so you can check-in via your phone.

The aloo.ph is created by 2 Filipinos: the founder and 'wannabe actor' Brian Dimarucot (seriously he is good looking add to his LBS application) and Arvi Acuzar as the overall lead developer.

Find me here http://aloo.ph/profile/owrange even if you do not care. =)
